Ramy Elias, M.D., Q.M.E.
Since joining Long Beach Orthopedic Institute in 2004, Dr. Elias has consistently provided compassionate and personalized Orthopedic care to our diverse patient population. A 1999 graduate of the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine, Dr. Elias completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he was honored as Chief Resident for the 2003-04 year.
Dr. Elias believes in the importance of the physician-patient relationship and providing personalized care. By taking the time to bond with his patients, he is able to initiate transparent conversations, build trust, and educate them on treatment options that may address their concerns. His most recent acknowledgements, and perhaps the most personally significant came from the online patient resource Vitals – Patients Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition.
Serving as Director of the Total Joint Program at Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Dr. Elias leads a team dedicated to providing cutting-edge care that continuously improves patient outcomes and satisfaction. His high regard for educating patients on all aspects of their orthopedic care is demonstrated in his frequent community lectures.
Dr. Elias firmly believes in the importance of investing in our future. As an Assistant Professor for Clinical Education at the Southern California University of Health Sciences, he mentors and teaches physician assistant students so they will enter real-world clinical settings fully prepared.
Today, Dr. Elias practices a complete continuum of Orthopedic Surgery with a special interest in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and minimally invasive total joint replacement. He is affiliated with several hospitals including Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Los Alamitos Medical Center, Long Beach Memorial, Orange Coast Memorial, and La Palma Intercommunity hospital where he cares for patients of all ages and walks of life.
